Are "Smashburger" burgers good?, a review blog

My burger Craving
Despite all the social distancing measures being implemented daily, when you have a craving you can’t help but get out there and get your fix. I had one of those moments a few days ago when I was craving a real juicy burger. I was really craving for quality burgers, and “Five Guys” is my benchmark. Their burgers are juicy, fresh, and delicious. In other words, I was tired of eating dry, desiccated rubbery burgers from Mcdonalds and other fast-food chains and wanted to get a good quality burger.

Smashburger
The only option within a 5-mile radius of my apartment was “Smashburger”. I had remembered reading about them serving up decent burgers, so I decided to get my fix and drove over there. Although the parking spots were limited, because of the Corona Outbreak social distancing, I found a parking spot right in front of the store. So I pulled right up and parked my car and went inside.

My experience at the Smashburger location
Inside it was a small space with seating for about maybe 30 people. But due to the Corona Outbreak measures, they were not doing dine-in, only take out, so the chairs were all flipped over and set on top of the table. I found the interior to be quite messy as well but still wanted to get my fix and get something quick.

There were only 3 staff members working there, and it certainly was not enough, given the demand that they were having, despite the Corona Scare. Finally, I got to the front of the line, and decided to go for the “Classic Smash double”, with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, “Smash Sauce” and Ketchup on a “Classic Bun”.

How It Tastes
Well, this is the most important part. I took the order to go and decided to eat it inside my car. So I opened it up and began to bite into it.
The Bun
The first thing I noticed was, the bun was firm, and not soggy. However, the Bun tasted kind of bland, with really no special taste to it, neither sweetness nor saltiness, just plain.

The Sauce
The sauce was very interesting. It was a yellowish orange creamy colored sauce with a slightly sour taste. However, it was very disappointing, because it was just slightly sour, and had neither saltiness or sweetness, which would have helped the sauce taste better. So the sauce was kind of bland too, sadly.

The Vegetables
Nothing special to say about them either. The vegetables might have been fresh, but it lacked flavor as well. They tasted very bland.

The meat
I found the meat to be the best-tasting part of the burger. Although it didn’t possess the flavor of a “Five Guys” burger, it was definitely better than Mcdonalds or Wendys. It was juicy and had some flavor to it. However it was quite underseasoned, it could have definitely used more salt, which would have definitely brought out the flavor of the burger more. In short, a “Smashburger” burger in quality is better than “Mcdonalds” or your typical fast-food burger chain, but not as good as say, a “Five Guys” burger. It was definitely good enough to get my fix for the night.

Redefining "Markets"

As the price of gasoline has continued to rise at the pumps, the debate goes on about what is actually causing these price hikes. As usual, there are those that argue that this is just another "market" driven phenomenon, and the rising price of gasoline is the reaction of the "market" to changes in supply, or changes in demand, or both. And sure, that argument is a legitimate one particularly in a capitalistic economy, but that's not what’s bothersome; some want to go farther than that to suggest that the "markets" are comprised merely of suppliers and demanders, and nothing or no one else. This is where the problem lies; it is the suggestion that the "markets", something much more complicated than suppliers and demanders is comprised merely of suppliers and demanders. It is the reduction of "markets" into suppliers and demanders that is problematic, untrue, and preposterous. Their argument may hold water with those who are ignor...

Problems with the 2016 Honda Civic

It was with great excitement I purchased a brand new beautiful red 2016 Honda Civic in January of 2017. However, the excitement didn't last long. I started experiencing problems with my AC at just 15,000 miles. The AC wouldn't cool at all, I would turn it on and keep it on for a while thinking, maybe it just needs a little time to cool. But it never got cool even after keeping it on for almost an hour's journey, and this went on for several days, and weeks. Needless to say, I was scared, because I didn't have the money to repair the AC, and I knew it could cost several hundred dollars. Eventually, I decided to call the dealership, and they said it was covered under the warranty. That was quite a relief, for my wife and I, especially considering our toddler also had to suffer in the hot car on our travels. So we took it to the dealer. Of course, you have to wait for hours to get these things fixed, even if you show up with an appointment. So the mechanic came ba...
